This EP is a collection of songs written during an Australian autumn. The colours of the falling leaves inspired me, like so many before me, to write about the circle of life. The word 'deciduous' is used to describe such trees, those that lose their leaves for the winter. Most Australian trees are evergreen, so those trees that inspired me were mostly imported from other places in the world. Australia does however have a handful of deciduous trees, like the one depicted on the cover, the Illawarra Flame Tree. It's native to the lower eastern coastline of the Australian continent, and loses its leaves before the dry season, sprouting crimson red bell shaped flowers in their place.

Colours 02:40
Another day of foggy grey I think I’ll go to hell because I never pray But I don’t need god to feel guilty Not that just comes naturally If I loved you less I could have walked away But I loved you best And so I had to stay If every tree was evergreen Would we befall such tragedy The colours are changing every day And the leaves just fall naturally If I loved you less I could have walked away But I loved you best And so I had to stay If it weren’t for the winter we would never see The colours of the falling leaves Another day of foggy grey I think I’ll go to hell because I never pray But I don’t need god to feel guilty Not that just comes naturally

Money 03:29
I found a box of slides It said Singapore 1979 And the bright eyes of children looked at me From the first photograph Those kids probly never had A cent for their entire lives But I wonder if they were happy Cause money don't mean much to me alive anyway Money don't mean nothing when you die I found a leather case It made me wish that I could be again What youth afforded me Unaffected uninhibited But I must look to the future now With this my heavy heart I apologise for mistakes made in my past I walked a long and lonely road and I'll walk alone again But I promise that I will leave you Something to remember Cause money don't mean much to me alive anyway Money don't mean nothing when you die Some people ask How much do ya make In your job or whatever  And is it comfortable Some people ask What do you create And can I see it, feel it, hear it And is it beautiful Cause money don't mean much to me alive anyway Money don't mean nothing when you die

If We Stray 03:01
If We Stray – Wolf-Peter Arand I know I would never be the man That mum would like you to hold out your hand to Coins in my pocket is all that is left Of my days of wealth and glory and theft All I ever did was just trying to get by All I ever could was just living a lie In a world of steel cold eyes and ties And even if we stray one day we’ll be free x 3 From remorse and fear and sorrow and the demons we keep It took 28 years for me to realise What I could have been if I’d given it a try All the joyful nights of sex and drugs and bars We chased out all the thoughts that were never really ours But all that time we never thought we’d fall We never thought that we could lose it all In the glimpse of a moment that takes its toll And even if we stray one day we'll be free x 3 From remorse and fear and sorrow and the demons we keep So forget what you once knew And sing me the blues Oh sing me the blues Just show me the blues Of your heart And even if we stray one day we'll be free x 3 From remorse and fear and sorrow and the demons we keep
